Assalamualaikum to all viewers and readers π, may we always in His blessing. π
Basically, Dr. Ummi will choose about 5-6 persons per week to present current issue, which is an individual presentation. So, this day, i was one of the chosen student to present the task. I choose an article from The Star titled; Almost 800,000 Malaysians On Travel Blacklist, More Than Half Are PTPTN Defaulters. According to the Immigration Department, almost 800,000 Malaysians are blacklisted and barred from leaving the country. And the biggest group was from PTPTN defaulters which more than half of the total. While, the rest were blacklisted by Insolvency Department, Inland Revenue Department, EPF, Malaysians Custom Department and Immigration Department itself.
So, in connection to this, the Immigration Department with the cooperation of Malaysia Airport has set up the Pre-Departure Blacklist Check Kiosk to help Malaysians to to check their status before they leave foe overseas. The kiosk were placed at a high-visibility area so that travelers can spot them easily. For now, the kiosks are available in KLIA only. But in months, they estimated the kiosks will be ready at KLIA2. And with enough funds, the department also intends to introduce the kiosks at other entry and exit points such as Bukit Kayu Hitam in Kedah and Sultan Iskandar Building in Johor. Here we can see, a lot of efforts made by the government and non-governmental organizations as they worked together in order to improve the available systems in Malaysia for all netizens. So why we took things for granted? While studying, government already give us a financial assistance to each of eligible students which is PTPTN. After finished the study, we are responsibility to pay back what we owe in order to PTPTN department circulate the money to give to the future students who will further their study in university level. So that, the next students will not face difficulty in borrowing money. As a Muslim, we must pay off debts even it is not claimed by the debtor. It was also narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The soul of the believer is suspended because of his debt until it is paid off. ” Narrated by al-Tarmizi. That's all from me for this time, i hope it will give benefits to all of you. Insyallah π
