Regarding to this issue, Dr Ummi asked for our opinion about local brands that clone international brands. The boutique cosmetics store named Seffara is owned by an online influencer, Fara Fareez. It was learned that Farra has also founded her own line of make up, Farra Beauty. The opening of her store has been marred with controversy. Malaysian people have criticize her, as she plagiarizing a world brand cosmetics store, Sephora. The packaging style an even the Seffara's storefront looks like Sephora store which black and white based. Nowadays, instead of come out with a fresh idea, people tend to copy others brand. As for me, copying others product is one of an unethical behavior. Sephora is a famous international product, so, trying to copy this product will only give bad effects to Sefarra. In future, Sefarra may be sued by Sephora for plagiarism. If this happen, it will give negatives image to our country, Malaysia. In conclusion, every business must have their own uniqueness and specialty even though they are not well known yet. We can take example from successful businesswoman, such as Naelofar Hijab, dUCk scarves and Tudung Fareeda. All of the brands have their own uniqueness and identity which make them more successful and well-known in Malaysia an even globally. That's all from me for this post. Thank you for reading πŸ˜„
